POSITION SUMMARY  

The Human Resources Administrator will support the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including benefits administration, HRIS management, onboarding team members, offboarding team members, and applying company policies and practices. Additionally, the Human Resources Administrator will be the point of contact for all HR related questions and communications.   

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

Human Resources Duties 

  • Initiate and process all benefit enrollments for current team members and new hires. 

  • Responsible for the administration of benefit changes and annual renewals with Broker. Administer and resolve benefit-related issues. 

  • Maintain the human resource information system and employee database. Ensure all compensation and other employee related changes are up to date for report accuracy.  

  • Generate and send offer letters and administer post-offer new hire orientation and onboarding.  

  • Initiate background check process as requested per clients. 

  • Manage offboarding process – ensure inactive employees are removed from HRIS system, benefit provider sites and files are closed properly in accordance with record retention regulations.  

  • Complete employment verifications and unemployment claim forms for all employees.  

  • Maintains confidentiality of sensitive and confidential employee and company information.  

  • Maintain compliance with the Team Member Handbook as it relates to HR related policies.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE 

  • 1-3 years’ experience in an administrative role. Work experience or a degree in Human Resources is a plus.  

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES 

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment 

  • Effective time management to include establishing priorities and meeting deadlines 

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail 

  • Ability to work effectively as a team player in a fast-paced environment 

  • Strong oral and written communication skills 

  • Ability to communicate to all levels of the organization 

  • Knowledge of software systems and Microsoft Office products 

  • Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality 

TRAVEL 

  • Limited travel to the Madison and Milwaukee offices for support – 5 to 15% 

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

Work is generally performed in an office environment and routinely requires employees to perform the following while carrying out the essential functions of this job:  

  • Use standard office equipment (computer, phone, printer/photocopier, etc.) 

  • Sit for long periods of time 

  • Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds 

  • Drive occasionally for events, meetings, etc.
